Teilnahme von Botschaftsrätin Onishi beim Treffen des Wirtschafts- und Umweltausschusses der OSZE (8. Oktober 2025)/ Counsellor Onishi at the OSCE Economic and Environmental Committee Meeting (8 October 2025)
Am 8. Oktober nahm Botschaftsrätin Onishi an der Sitzung des Wirtschafts- und Umweltausschusses der OSZE teil, welches zu dem Thema „Wirtschaftliche Konnektivität – Förderung der wirtschaftlichen Entwicklung durch klimaresistenten Handel und Transport“ abgehalten wurde.
Botschaftsrätin Onishi betonte die Bedeutung des Themas und erklärte, dass Japan ebenfalls ein Treffen der „OSZE-Kooperationspartner in Asien“ zum Thema „Wirtschaftliche Konnektivität“ veranstaltet habe. Sie fügte hinzu, dass dieses Treffen die Anerkennung der Untrennbarkeit von Sicherheit im indopazifischen und euro-atlantischen Raum bekräftigt habe. Darüber hinaus betonte Botschaftsrätin Onishi die Bedeutung von Japans Konzept eines freien und offenen indopazifischen Raums („Free and Open Indo-Pacific“, FOIP) und hob hervor, dass Japan eng mit internationalen Partnern, darunter auch der OSZE, zusammenarbeiten werde, um die vielfältigen Herausforderungen anzugehen.
On October 8, Counsellor Onishi attended the OSCE Economic and Environmental Committee meeting under the topic of “Economic Connectivity - Promoting Economic Development through Climate-Resilient Trade and Transport”.
Underlining the importance of the topic, Counsellor Onishi stated that Japan had also hosted an “Asian Partners for Co-operation Group Meeting” under the theme of “Economic Connectivity”. She added that this meeting renewed the shared recognition of the inseparability of security in the Indo-Pacific and Euro-Atlantic region. Furthermore, Counsellor Onishi emphasized the importance of Japan’s concept for a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific” (FOIP). She stressed that Japan will work closely with international partners, including the OSCE, to address the multifaceted challenges.
