Botschaftsrätin Onishi bei der 1533. Sitzung des Ständigen Rates der OSZE (11. September 2025) / Counsellor Onishi at the 1533rd Meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council (11 September 2025)

Am 11. September nahm Botschaftsrätin Rumi Onishi an der 1533. Sitzung des Ständigen Rates der OSZE teil. 

Bei dieser Sitzung wurde ein dringender Tagesordnungspunkt bezüglich des Vorfalls vom 10. September hinzugefügt, bei dem russische Drohnen den polnischen Luftraum verletzt hatten. Über 40 Länder gaben Erklärungen ab. 

Botschaftsrätin Onishi erklärte, dass Japan diesen Vorfall angesichts seiner möglichen Auswirkungen auf die regionale Lage mit großer Sorge beobachtet und äußerte starke Besorgnis über das Vorgehen Russlands, das zu einer Eskalation der Lage führen könnte. Sie teilte ihre Einschätzung mit, dass die NATO die Fakten zu diesem Vorfall überprüft und bewertet, und erklärte weiter, dass Japan weiterhin eng mit Ländern in Europa und anderen Regionen zusammenarbeiten werde. 

On 11 September, Counsellor Rumi Onishi attended the 1533rd Meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council. 

At this meeting, an urgent agenda item was added concerning the incident on 10 September where Russian drones violated Polish airspace, with over 40 countries making statements. 

Counsellor Onishi stated that Japan is monitoring this incident with grave concern, considering its potential impact on the regional situation and expressed strong concern over Russia's actions, which could lead to an escalation of the situation. She shared her understanding that NATO is confirming and assessing the facts surrounding this incident and further stated that Japan will continue to coordinate closely with countries across Europe and elsewhere.
