Liste grundlegender Dokumente für einen Visumsantrag
- 1. Gültiger Reisepass und gegebenenfalls österreichischer Aufenthaltstitel(Original und Kopie)
- 2. Ein ausgefülltes und unterschriebenes Antragsformular
- 3. Ein Foto nach Passfotomaßen (innerhalb der letzten sechs Monate aufgenommen)
- 4. Meldezettel(Original und Kopie)[nur bei Nicht-Oesterreichern]
- 5. Arbeitsbestätigung (Arbeitsvertrag)/Studienbestätigung (innerhalb der letzten drei Monate mit akutuellem Kontstand ausgestellt) (Original und Kopie)
- 6. Certificate of Eligibility(*)[Eignungszertifikat] (Original und eine Kopie)
(*) Ein Certificate of Eligibility wird vor dem Visumantrag vom Bürgen/von der Bürgin in Japan beantragt und von einer lokalen Einwanderungsbehörde (Regional Immigration Office), welche dem Japanischen Justizministerium unterliegt, in Japan ausgestellt. Anmerkungen:
- Anträge können nur angenommen werden, wenn die Unterlagen und Dokumente gemäß den Punkten 1. bis 8. vollständig vorgelegt werden
- In manchen Fällen können weitere Dokumente verlangt werden
- Es dauert normalerweise ungefähr 1 Woche bis zur Rückgabe des Passes
Im Falle, dass weitere Dokumente nötig sind, kann die Bearbeitung länger dauern. - Der/die Antragsteller/in kann maximal drei Monate von der geplanten Einreise nach Japan ein Visum beantragen, da dieses selbt drei Monate ab Ausstellungsdatum gültig ist

A List of Basic Documents to be Submitted for an Application
- 1. Valid passport
- 2. Austrian Residence Permit (Red-White-Red Card, etc.)(Original and Copy)(Only if you are not Austrian)
- 3. One completed and signed Visa Application Form
- 4. One passport-sized photograph (taken within last 6 months)
- 5. One original copy of certificate of residence (Meldezettel and one Copy) (Only if you are not Austrian)
- 6. Certificate of Eligibility(*) (the original and one copy)
(*) A certificate of Eligibility is issued before a visa application by a Regional Immigration Bureau under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Justice in Japan.

Note:
- Applications will be only accepted in case all information and documents are provided as explained 1. - 8.
- In some cases, additional supporting documents may be required
- It normally takes about 1 week to return your passport. However it can take longer than that if additional documents are required for further assessments
- The applicant may apply for a visa 3 months prior to entering Japan as the visa itself is valid for 3 months from the date of issue
